Alexander Hamilton was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and the 1st United States Secretary of the Treasury. He was born on January 11, 1755 or 57 in Nevis, West Indies. He died in New York City on July 12, 1804, after being mortally wounded in a duel with Aaron Burr.
