Gertrude Berg, also known as Tillie Edelstein, was a Jewish-American icon and author celebrated for her significant contributions to radio, theater, and television. She excelled in "The Rise of the Goldbergs" radio show, "Me and Molly" theatrical production, and "The Goldbergs" TV series. Her pioneering spirit paved the way for future female icons in classic radio shows, earning her a Tony Award and an Emmy Award. She died on September 14, 1966, in New York City.
